The edn of solar power?

"We're sorry sir, but the hundreds of solar power inverters from your solar plant are out of warranty. They cannot be repaired. Replacing them for the latest model is the only option."

This was the response given to a #solarpower operator by their OEM when inquiring about their failing equipment. This is not an uncommon response in the solar industry - OEMs simply have no plan to offer support when it comes to older products and especially obsolescence.
The operator decided to team up with a repair company, who with the right ABI tools, training and equipment, were able to repair the solar inverters like the one pictured below to a high industrial standard and keep them out of landfill. Each of these solar power inverters cost between 15k-30k USD to buy new - repairs are a mere percentage of this cost, and maintenance adds another layer of reliability.
#repair needs to become an actioned reality for #netzero goals to be achieved - more and more companies are choosing #RepairDontWaste, despite their OEM's lack of faith and support!
