Why Would You Need An Isolated Output Function Generator

There are various selections of function generators on the market. Despite a wide variety, most function generators have common grounding between output signal ground and the instrument chassis earth ground. Hence, non‐isolated function generators cannot output correct waveforms for circuit tests such as bridge rectification, voltage doubling and choppers. You may get wrong conclusions!
