How to isolate USB 3 interfaces!
The Alldaq ADQ-USB 3.0-ISO-W USB 3.0 Isolator supports the full USB 3.0 SuperSpeed data rate of 5Gbit/s and can accept 10 to 36 VDC from an external power source via a 2-pin lockable Phoenix-type connector to power devices with up to 900 mA. The external power input is protected against reverse polarity and short-circuits. This allows USB 3.0 SuperSpeed devices to be electrically isolated from a host PC or other peripherals at full performance. The re-clocking design guarantees a stable USB connection at all speeds. The ADQ-USB isolators can be used for the electrical isolation of USB measurement instruments to avoid ground loops to solve problems in industrial and automotive applications as well as in professional sound studios and event and show equipment. The ADQ-USB 3.0-ISO isolators automatically detect SuperSpeed (5Gbit/s), High-Speed (480Mbit/s), Full-Speed (12Mbit/s) or Low-Speed (1.5 Mbit/s) connections
The isolation voltage between PC and USB device is 1kV (<60s). The ESD protection of the data lines is ensured by transient-voltage-suppression diodes up to ±12kV (contact discharge) and ±15kV (air-gap discharge) according to IEC 61000-4-2. The Alldaq USB 3.0 isolators are compatible with Windows, MAC OS and Linux systems, and downward-compatible with USB 2.0/1.1/1.0 equipment.
Housed in a robust aluminum housing with rubber bumpers and designed for an operating temperature from -20 to +70degC, the Alldaq USB 3.0-ISO isolators are suitable even for applications in harsh environments. An optional DIN rail mounting kit is also available for permanent installations.
The ADQ-USB 3.0-ISO can protect computers and USB devices effectively against interference voltages, while also eliminating ground loops. Typical applications include: electrical isolation between measurement instruments and PCs, rejection of ripple pickup in studio equipment, removing differing ground potentials in industrial control equipment, and protection against voltage peaks in automotive set-ups.
The Alldaq ADQ-USB 3.0-ISO-W USB 3.0 Isolator is compact in size (3.6” x 2.5” x 1.3” - L x W x H incl. rubber bumpers) and weight (4.5oz).

In-place RF Monitoring Made Easy!
Utility companies have
deployed thousands of smart meters across a wide geographic area for
real-time consumption data. They must ensure that they are transmitting
within government regulations and are not disrupting other nearby
transmitters through inadvertent signals. Check out our case study to
explore alternatives to tackle these problems.

Best Shielded Enclosures In The World?
Disklabs Shielding Enclosures are available from cellphone to instrument rack size, for shielding mobile phones, tablet devices, laptops, and other electronic devices from all RF signals. Common features of these Faraday shields include military-grade, water-resistant soft-sided enclosures, and greater than 90dB signal attenuation of ambient wireless signals such as cellphone network signals, WiFi, GPS, RFID, NFC, and radio signals. These enclosures are constructed with double-layer shielding fabric that is compliant with US MIL-STD-188-125, using Cordura as an external water-resistant cover material. The shielding material used is DL5LFSM, an extremely effective barrier for blocking all radio signals. Each enclosure features a unique serial number for accurate asset tracking. https://bit.ly/2RBcaE8

Turn Your Spectrum Analyzer Into a Precompliance Tool!
TekBox makes high-quality, economical near-field EMC probes and amplifiers for pre-compliance testing, line impedance stabilization networks, and TEM cells which are used for sensing electromagnetic fields in a shielded environment. These products and software to turn spectrum analyzers into preliminary compliance testers.
With the increasing use of fast
interfaces, WLAN, ubiquitous IoT products, and mobile devices now with 5G, this
means that RF-producing circuits should be tested before they reach the EMI
test house or are manufacture for sale. Test lab procedures are essential but VERY
expensive and failure to meet regulation limits adds to this cost, causing
redesign and retest. Pre-compliance
testing while in the design phase on the lab bench can help to insure success by
checking devices with ordinary spectrum analyzers, nearfield probes, and LISNs
to allow early detection of sources of interference.
TekBox Digital Solutions makes economical
EMC pre-compliance test solutions and software to allow your spectrum analyzer
and other lab test equipment suitable for preliminary compliance testing:
- Wideband
RF amplifiers
- TEM
cells (transverse electromagnetic cells), shielded tents, shielded bags,
ground planes.
- Antennas.
- LISNs
(line impedance stabilization networks).
- Current
monitoring probes.
- Comb
generators.
- Accessories: Cables, attenuators, adaptors, housings, tripods etc.
