Saving the Whales ...

Hi Team at Saelig,

We have received the Oscilloscope!

Thank you for the generous donation of the Owon SDS7102 100MHz Oscilloscope to the Bob Barker and the Steve Irwin. Not only will your contribution provide the crews of our ships with the equipment necessary to keep our vessels running efficiently, it will also make it possible for us to continue our efforts to defend, conserve and protect marine ecosystems worldwide.

Since its beginnings in 1977, Sea Shepherd has been a leading force in marine conservation. Over the last few years, we have prevented the slaughter of pilot whales in the Faeroe Islands, documented the dolphin slaughter at The Cove in Taiji, patrolled the Mediterranean for blue fin tuna poachers, set up a satellite tracking system with the capabilities to detect illegal shark finning vessel in the Galapagos and patrolled West African waters in the search for poachers.

This past Antarctic campaign we saved 784 whales in the Southern Ocean. This is only possible because of thoughtful contributions from people like you.

In 2014 we are continuing and expanding our efforts. As you know, the cost of protecting our oceans comes at a price but it's nothing compared to losing our greatest and most vital marine treasures. We hope for your continued support in the future.

Once again, thank you for your generous donation and commitment to protecting our seas. Attached you will find a thank you certificate that you may print or use as you like on social media etc. I have also sent you a hard copy of this certificate and you should be receiving it shortly.

For the Oceans,
