GaN-Si White LEDS Cost Less ....

 We now have samples of Plessey's new GaN-on-Silicon MAGIC White LEDs, which can be manufactured at a significant cost advantage over conventional blue and white LEDs. These are the first commercially available solid state illuminators manufactured on 6” GaN-on-Silicon substrates using standard semiconductor proecssing methods. With production yields of greater than 95% and fast processing times, these are aimed at the indicator/backlight market
