New! TekBox TBMDA3 and TBMDA4 Modulated Wideband Power Amplifiers
TekBox TBMDA3
and TBMDA4 Modulated Wideband Power Amplifiers have been specifically designed to
provide an economical signal source for immunity testing of electronic circuits
and products. These amplifiers are intended to increase the tracking generator signal
from a spectrum analyzer. With an input power range of -5dBm to 0dBm, they can
boost the output power of a tracking generator up to 5W. The TBMDA3 has a
frequency range from 10MHz to 1GHz, while the similar TBMDA4 covers a range of 100kHz
to 50MHz. The TBMDA3 and TBMDA4 are ideal for driving near-field probes in
order to find sensitive spots on electronic circuits, or for creating strong
electric fields of up to 550V/m when driving TEM Cells.
Test signals for immunity testing can
be continuous wave or AM or PM modulated by the TBMDA3 and TBMDA4, which both
provide built-in modulation capabilities to generate 1kHz AM or PM signals. In
PM mode, they can also generate a 217 Hz Signal with 12.5% duty cycle for
simulating mobile phone TDMA noise.
Also usable as general purpose
wideband RF amplifiers, the TekBox TBMDA3 and TBMDA4 RF Power Amplifiers
are available now from authorized North American distributor Saelig Company,
Inc. Fairport, NY. For detailed
specifications, free technical assistance, or additional information, please

Power supply measurements and logging?
Try GWInstek's GPM-8213!

The GW Instek GPM-8213 AC Power Meter has been designed specifically for power measurements on single-phase AC power supplies. This instrument offers high-accuracy voltage, current, and power measurement capabilities from both front- and rear-panel inputs, presenting users with clear, convenient, and accurate AC power measurements.
The GW Instek GW-GPM-8213 provides two display modes in order to maximize its measurement usefulness. In the Standard Mode, it simultaneously displays eight measurement parameters (two major measurements and six secondary measurements and related measurement settings); this is ideal for R&D and engineering situations. The Simple Mode displays only 4 measurement parameters, which is more suitable for production environments.
The nineteen power measurement parameters include: voltage (Vrms/V+pk /V-pk), current (Irms/ I+pk /I-pk), frequency (VHz/IHz), power (P/ P+pk /P-pk), crest factor (CFV/CFI), apparent power (VA), reactive power (VAR), power factor (PF), phase angle (DEG), total harmonic distortion (THDV/THDI), high-accuracy voltage/current/power measurement capabilities (reading: ±0.1%; level: ±0.1%).
Compared with products of the same category, the GW Instek GW-GPM-8213 provides more diverse measurement parameters and functions, including voltage, current, frequency, active power, apparent power, reactive power, power factor, crest factor, and total harmonic distortion measurements. The GW-GPM-8213 also features an integral measurement function for indicating a test device’s power or current consumption over time. Users can set a measurement period to show transient power integration, dividing the result by elapsed time to calculate the test device’s average power.
The GW Instek GW-GPM-8213 can fully meet the requirements of IEC 62301/EN 50564 standby power consumption test requirements, including measurement frequency bandwidth of DC to 6kHz, minimum current level of 5mA (resolution: 0.1uA), and power (1uW for minimum current and voltage levels, 1mW for maximum current and voltage levels). For larger power measurements, users can utilize the terminals on the rear panel to conduct 600V/20A measurements using an external transformer: set the multiplying factor (1 to 9999) to modify the displayed readings of the input voltage or current values without additional calculations. The built-in RS-232C, USB, and LAN interfaces can be used for external control and automatic test system requirements.

Keeping the renewable energy industry profitable & efficient
Wind turbine systems are prone to developing all sorts of faults given the environment where they operate. Resolving breakdowns requires more than having the right engineering skill set and parts available. Field operators require access to the right technology to troubleshoot and repair inverters, encoders and other sub-assemblies, keeping costs low and reducing e-waste. ABI's BoardMaster, a product used across the world, helps service technicians and OEMs stay on top of their repair needs.

Who Has the Best Differential Scope Probes?
Teledyne LeCroy HVD3000A Differential #Probes offer industry-best CMRR, wide differential-voltage range, and 1% gain accuracy to serve the complete spectrum of power-electronic applications.
Exceptional Common-Mode Rejection Ratio
The CMRR for the probes is exceptional out to very high frequencies, greatly improving measurement capability in noisy, high common-mode environments found in power electronics. The high CMRR combined with low probe noise and high offset capability makes the probes capable of measuring very small control signals floating on high common-mode voltages.
High Precision Measurements
HVD probes provide 1% DC and low frequency gain accuracy enabling precise voltage measurements. AutoZero capability ensures further measurement precision by allowing small offset drifts to be calibrated out of the measurement.
Wide Differential Voltage Range
The wide voltage range of 1500 Vp-p enables flexible probing in a variety of floating measurement applications. Beyond that limit, the HVD probes can be safely operated up to 2000 Vp-p for capturing short duration overshoots. With the HVD connected, the oscilloscope vertical sensitivity ranges from 400 V/div (3200 V on screen) to display high voltage signals, down to 100 mV/div to show the small details.
Complete Probe Integration
The ProBus interface provides power and communication to the probe eliminating the need for a separate power supply or batteries. Attenuation is automatically selected based on oscilloscope gain range (V/div) setting.
