New RF Instruments from Siglent Today!

Siglent’s new SSA5000A spectrum analyzer and the SSG5000A RF/MW signal generator support X- und K-band measurements up to 26.5GHz. The SSA5000A spectrum analyzer series include two models that provide fast spectrum analysis from 9kHz to 13.6 or 26.5GHz, a DANL of -165dBm/Hz, a low phase noise of 105dBc/Hz and feature a big 12-inch TouchScreen. The new SSG5000A RF/MW signal generator can output clean sine waves up to 20GHz. The spectral purity, low phase noise of -120dBc/Hz and power control make it ideal for the use as a high frequency LO in many applications like radar, quantum physics and RF component verification.

Reverse Engineering!

Most manufacturers refuse to provide circuit board diagrams (schematics) in an attempt to exercise control over product lifecycle and repair. #RevEng from ABI Electronics handles that control back to the end user as we believe there is huge economic and environmental value in favoring repair over replacement and waste.  See ABI's #RevEng Schematic Learner in action on #ABILabs, another great initiative that raises the profile of circuit board repair. Available to watch for free on YouTube.

Don't Waste Our Latest Newsletter!

Our latest newsletter focuses on the RepairDontWaste movement originated by ABI Electronics. The new website www.repairdontwaste promotes the virtues and techniques of repairing electronics products rather than discarding and replacing them. It highlights a movement started in 2015 for implementing the benefits of creating a repair-first approach in every business. Some noteworthy examples are included below perhaps your company should be in the RDW world! For instance, a large LCD and AMOLED operation was threatened by lack of availability of controller circuit boards used to power up hundreds of robotic arms. See below how investing in training and equipment enabled the organization to fight obsolescence by repairing and reusing circuit boards the OEM had told them were “impossible to be repaired.”
