Saelig Wins 2013 ETHIE Award

Saelig Wins 2013 ETHIE Award
The Rochester Area Business Ethics Foundation celebrates and encourages ethical business cultures and practices.  They are convinced that high standards of ethics drive high levels of performance for businesses and not-for-profit organizations.
A key activity of the Foundation is The ETHIE Awardwhich has grown to be one the premier awards of the region and is a valuable tool to recognize and promote companies doing things the "right way."  RABEF established the ETHIE Award in 2003 and, to date, almost 30 companies have received the award.  The ETHIE is modeled on the American Business Ethics Award, which was founded in 1994 by the National Society of Financial Service Professionals.  Several of Rochester’s award recipients have gone on to participate and win national recognition in the ABEA competition.
In the Small-Sized category (less than 50 employees), The ETHIE recipient is Saelig Company Inc., 71 Perinton Parkway Fairport, NY 14450 www.saelig.com

Educational USB Lab Instrument With Six-In-One Function for Under $100

We just introduced the new CGM-101 CircuitGear Mini - a unique, low-cost PC-based instrument which provides the features of six devices in one USB-powered compact box: 2-channel 11-bit 2MSa/sec 200kHz oscilloscope, 2-channel spectrum analyzer, 2MSa/s 8-bit arbitrary-waveform/standard-function generator with 8 digital I/O lines. It also functions as a network analyzer, and a PWM output source – all for less than $100! The oscilloscope and waveform generator can also work together to form a vector network analyzer. The USB interface allows the recording, output and printing of all waveforms or even updating the firmware as new features become available.

The CGM-101 CircuitGear Mini’s Oscilloscope capability provides a two-channel 11-bit 20mV/div to 5V/div (+/-0.25Vp-p to +/-25Vp-p with 1X Probe; +/250Vp-p with 10X Probe) 200kHz basic scope, also offering sophisticated marker measurements, and triggering (normal, auto, single-shot and pre-trigger) with a time-base adjustable from 500ns/division to 20s/division. A 1k sample/channel data buffer allows pre-trigger signal or “strip-chart” viewing. X-Y Plot, spectrum analysis, and waveform math are also included.  The two-channel FFT spectrum analyzer offers marker measurements, and, when used with the internal signal generator, displays Bode plots and performs vector network analysis, showing gain and phase values in real-time.

New Oscilloscopes With Largest Sample Memory Available In Any Scope!

We've just introduced the new PicoScope 6000 Series high-performance 4-channel PC oscilloscopes with deep buffer memory and a USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface. With up to 500 MHz bandwidth on all four channels, and an industry-leading 2 Gsamples of buffer memory, the PS6000 Series has the performance and the advanced analysis capability to speed the debug of today’s complex electronic designs.  With a real-time sampling rate of up to 5GSa/s, the PicoScope 6000 Series oscilloscopes can display single-shot pulses with 200ps time resolution. Equivalent time sampling (ETS) mode boosts the maximum sampling rate to 50GSa/s, giving an even finer timing resolution of 20ps for repetitive signals.

Each model includes a built-in DC to 20MHz function generator with sine, square, triangle and DC waveforms.  Some models also add a built-in 12-bit, 200MSa/s arbitrary waveform generator. PC software features include advanced triggering, automatic measurements with statistics, an FFT spectrum analysis mode, comprehensive waveform math, mask limit testing, and serial decoding for popular serial protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, LIN and FlexRay. Another useful feature of the free PicoSoft software is the capability for scaling or modifying the input voltage displayed with a mathematical formula - to correct for gain, attenuation, offsets and non-linearities of probes and transducers, or convert to different measurement units.  More here: http://www.saelig.com/pr/ps6000.html
